Name of dish : Philippino SPAGHETTI 8D


a.Flavour(Taste+Smell): It taste quite salty D:


b.colour : It is RED, yellow and orange

c.texture: The angel hair (spaghetti noodle) is smooth and fully cooked :D it look damn cheesy

STRENGTHS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM: slice/mince ingredient == EXCEPT ONION +.+


WEAKNESS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM: Chopping ONION -.- *sob* :'(



OTHER COMMENTS: I liked what i COOKED :D and this year's course work was done better than the previous year :D BUT I SWEAR THAT I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE F&N NEXT YEAR BLEH~ i hope no harm is caused :P

a.Flavour(Taste+Smell):a bit salty and sour


b.colour : yellowish-brown

c.texture: soft and buttery


STRENGTHS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM:I got no strong point in cooking but tried my best and cook the meal.


WEAKNESS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM:I struggled in the middle of the exam, not knowing how to make the pie crust.



OTHER COMMENTS:It is fun to learn to cook.

Name of dish : Fried Rice With Pineapple

a.Flavour(Taste+Smell): Sweet, spicy and sour

b.colour : Light orange with a little bit yellow, red (chilli), green(vegetable)

c.texture: Soft, chewy and fine, a little bit watery


STRENGTHS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM: I like the colour of the rice..... it doesn't look too red

or colouless, but it is light orange...... It doesn't

too spicy >.<>*_* but when u are

chewing the rice, u can taste them in a time..... It is

really out of my expectation! XP!

WEAKNESS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM: I used too much time on preparing the ingredients,

so i was rushing to put all the things in as i thought

there was no much time left...... So, teacher said that

my food was a little bit watery........

OTHER COMMENTS: I use too much time on preparing!!!!!!!!! Because I thought there is no much

time left, I throw all the things in!!!!!!! SAd..... BUT LUCKILY, IT TASTE

Name of dish : Fried Rice with Chicken \m/ 8D

a. Flavour(Taste+Smell): It tastes lemony because i'd add too much of the basil leave. It smells good though, it smells like herbal.

b. Colour : It is yellow, green and a little orangey in colour.

c. Texture: Chewy, dry, soft.


STRENGTHS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM: Handling the apparatus. :B And frying the food! *Yay*

WEAKNESS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM: Chopping the onions. -.-

OTHER COMMENTS: Overall, i like what i'd cooked yo! \m/ :D But i felt that what i'd cooked for the previous year, was much better compared to this year's. D:

a.Flavour(Taste+Smell): Flavourless and Fresh

b.colour : Brownish and Colourful

c.texture: Fine, Smooth, Tender and Spongy


STRENGTHS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM: Cook too well, cutting is done well, stir fry still good and cooking rice is not bad.

WEAKNESS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM: Rice put too much water but i saved mine but not jin hong's...... My fried rice had not much taste as i didn't mix the sauce well.....

OTHER COMMENTS: HAHAHAHA....!!!! Cooking is so fun!!!!!

Name of dish : Pad Kra Pao~ ^^

a.Flavour(Taste+Smell): Hot n' Spicy ! ! Smell nice~ hehe

b.colour : Yellow-ish

c.texture : Soft & light


STRENGTHS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM : I've cooked the chicken with perfect timing and I learnt how to cook it.. (As it was the first time I cook "Pad Kra Pao" xD)

WEAKNESS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM : Many people said the food is actually SPICY !

And on the day we had the test, there wasn't have the basil leaves (the whole leaf), so the food did not have any smell of the basil.. ):

OTHER COMMENTS : Well done, From me -_-" Since is was my first time haha

Name of dish : Fried rice with basil leaves

a.Flavour(Taste+Smell): It's abit bitter due to the green pepper and it is lemony as i squeezed the life out of the lemon.It's spicy too as i fried the chili paddies with the ingredients.It is not very sweet as i added only a pinch of sugar.You would get choke if you get too close to the dish.

b.colour : It's like "grasses" as all the ingredients are all vegetables and the dish is more like a vegetarian dish. The dish is mostly green in colour because of the beansprouts and green pepper. At the middle of the dish you could see the colour "red" as there is CHILI...

c.texture: It is soft , moist and chewy.


STRENGTHS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM: I managed my time well and i had cut the ingredients with skills.I added the adequate amount of spices and so on.

WEAKNESS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM:It is too spicy. The green pepper is too big.

OTHER COMMENTS:I would like to thank Sarah and Guang hui. Guang hui cooked the rice and i think he is better in cooking rice than me and Sarah for passing me the soap to me to wash the dishes and also Bank who told me where are the spices.Last but not least, Hanbing for passing me the oil eventhough he was about to use it.

Name of dish :Garlic and pepper chicken

a.Flavour(Taste+Smell): Spicy as there is white , black pepper and chilli. It is sweet as i added abit brown suger

b.colour : dark brownish colour (dull)

c.texture: chewy and dry


STRENGTHS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM: Smash the garlic nicely
Heat the oil until hot
Cut the chicken into bite-sized.

WEAKNESS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM: Added too less water
Did not take all my ingredients before i fry
My meat is abit dry
Left Too much time

OTHER COMMENTS: I would like to thank bank for his chilli and angeline's long bean,
Bank helping me to wash the rice,

Name of dish : Stir Fried Vegetables With Sesame

a.Flavour(Taste+Smell): The taste of my food is sweet and spicy. the aroma of my food is sweet.

b.colour : colourful

c.texture: moist and soft


STRENGTHS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM: I was able to complete the cooking of the food and able to wash the equipment in time. I manage to cut the vegetable fast.

WEAKNESS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM: I took a long time to collect the the ingredient .The last thing is I use to much time and did not follow the timetable which I plan. I was taking my time to find the sauce that i need.

OTHER COMMENTS: No Comment....

a.Flavour(Taste+Smell): Salty and fresh, smells odourless

c.texture: Chewy and dry


STRENGTHS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM: I've sliced the chicken nicely

WEAKNESS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM:

-Did not put enough water

-Many said that it was dry

-The food tastes abit wrong as there wasnt any cilantro

a.Flavour(Taste+Smell): It tastes creamy & buttery . Just the way i like it~^^

c.texture: The texture of the chicken was smooth.


STRENGTHS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM: Very sour taste.. Quite nice.

WEAKNESS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM: I did not manage the time. I did have trouble cooking the chicken but i manage to do so. Its sour and some of the people might not like the sourness. It looks plain though.. Not really attractive.

OTHER COMMENTS: A total failure in this practical exam. :(

c.texture: skin is crispy, the meat is soft



STRENGTHS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM: Chicken were well-cooked and seasoned

Amount of the mixture was just nice

WEAKNESS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM: Flipping the Chicken while frying

OTHER COMMENTS: It better to eat while the food is still warm.

The Chicken taste much better the KFC Chicken

Anyway its fun cooking. ^

b.colour : red , orange , yellow,brown,white,green... COLOURFUL ! :D

STRENGTHS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM: 1.Fried the rice at a right timing ~XP

2.Everything is VERY colourful !

3.chicken is nice ! ^^

WEAKNESS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM: 1. Egg too saulty T-T

2.Rice tasteless...

OTHER COMMENTS: Em.... ah......

I put too much salt while frying the egg, thats why it is a bit salty ... Ah... but i think eat the egg with rice is okay lah.... ha ha XP i put a lot effort to cook the chicken meat because it is the first time ... ALthrough last year i also cooked fried rice for my course work , but this year i put in a lot effort to do well for this dish and had changed the style of the normal "fried rice"...

It was really a good and rush experience for me ... never will forget this course for long....ha ha ha ha ha

EnJOY MY dish.... although its already eaten by my auntie ... XP ha ha

+ Taste of the food was there.
+ I was prepared for the coursework.
+ Rice was well cooked

+ The aroma of the food can be smelled.
+ There were taste.
+ There were ganishing used.
+ It was neat and clean food.
+ It was mixed well.
+ The chicken was cooked.

WEAKNESS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM:
- There were no other colour.
- Not much garnishings should be done.
- Gathering of ingrients and utensils were slow.

OTHER COMMENTS:

The casheur nuts that were used for garnishing was great.

Name of dish :Fish with apple and onions

a.Flavour(Taste+Smell) Salty because i put too much salt into it, it has a good aroma.

b.colour: Brown because of the broth and yellow because of the apple.


c.texture: The texture of the fish was smooth

STRENGTHS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM: The fish was well cooked, i didn't know when the fish was cooked and i let it cook in the Sauce Pan for very long, from time to time i was checking whether the fish was cooked. I used the Wooden Spoon to press the fish to check whether it was cooked. In the end i manage to get the fish out before it was overcook.

Weakness of the practical exam: I added too much salt into my dish and it was very salty, i didn't know when the fish was about to cook as this one the first time i was cooking fish.

  • Chicken and onions were well-cooked and seasoned
  • Pie mixture was evenly mixed with the right proportions of ingredients on time
  • Washing up was quickly done

  • Extra time was lost during collection of equipments, ingredients and organising
  • Unable to bake within the time limit
  • Pastry was slightly undercooked

Chicken Briyani .

It is a little spicy but not too spicy or not to salty. Just nice. i am quite happy with my cooking.

It was colourful . It had many colours like , brown , red , green .


c.texture
There was different type of textures. Hard for the cashunut , smooth surface fer the rice and Moist for the chicken gravy which was later mixed with the rice.

STRENGTHS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM

Being an Indian , it was easier to cook a Indian dish as i was quite familiar with the steps and ingredient.

Weakness Of The Practical Exam :

Cooking briyani needed more then an hour. I had to cut down some steps in order to cook the briyani on time.

Name of dish :stir-fried yellow noodles



a.Flavour(Taste+Smell) the noodle taste good but it is quite hard and when i cooked the food, i can smell the aroma of the chicken.



b.colour : the chicken and the noodle is brown in colour as it is mixed with the dark soya sauce.

c.texture: the chicken is smooth and soft


STRENGTHS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM: i finish my work in time although i have to share some of the equipments with my friends.



weakness of the practical exam : i did not know when the chicken was cooked and i did something wrong during the practical. i should put the chicken into the frying pan first, but i put the chicken after i put my noodle,causing the noodle to be very soft.
