STRENGTHS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM:

Chicken was cooked nicely.

Name of dish :

Egyptian keeka baladi min shokolata (Egyptian chocolate cake)

a.Flavour(Taste+Smell):

Buttery, sweet. smelled sweet.

After taste was terribly bitter.

STRENGTHS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM:

It had a sweet taste, everything went as desired.

There was a strwberry in the middle.

WEAKNESS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM:

I lacked efficiency in the given time and that let to my cake being uncooked inside.

There was no cocoa available and I could not make the chocolate cake and I ended up making a plain cake.

OTHER COMMENTS:

I had fun doing it and I hope to recieve more coursework when I get to take F&N.

German Baked Chicken Noodles

Flavour(Taste+Smell)

A bit buttery , Sour , Chicken is sweet .


Colour

Yellow for the noodles. Browish for the chicken


Texture

The texture of the noodles is chewy. Chicken is soft and tender


STRENGTHS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM:

The chicken was cooked and baked awesomely :D

WEAKNESS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM:

The noodles does not go well with the butter. Afterall , i am not a German who knows how to cook it perfectly.

OTHER COMMENTS:

The chicken taste better than the noodles. Thanks to krisma, my dish was nicely decorated. Thanks to Krisma, Susmita and Wattana for tasting the food. :D

Name of dish : BBB. (Big British Breakfast)


a.Flavour(Taste+Smell): Spicy and fresh. It smells spicy and flavourful.


b.colour : Very colourful, variety of warm colours.


c.texture: Spongy and thick. The chicken was tender and a little oily.



STRENGTHS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM:

It tasted better then expected. Spices made the chicken taste really good.


WEAKNESS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM:

The eggs were really messy. Should have put more vegetables.

I enjoyed cooking and it was really fun to work and help out

WEAKNESS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM: I need to know what to do next and not always look at my recipe as it is really short!

STRENGTHS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM: It enables me to cook independently and learn how to control the fire and manage everything else myself. even though i've tried it a few times at home , i think i did my best during the pracical exam :)

STRENGTHS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM:

It was different in terms of ingredient choice. Sweet potato was different as most Shepherd's Pies are made from potato.



WEAKNESS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM:

My time management was poor, there was not enough time for all steps.

The dish was not as very attractive in terms of taste and its look.

OTHER COMMENTS:

The sweet potato should be peeled at home, so there would be enough time for the rest of the steps

STRENGTHS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM: I was able to learn how to cook dishes without help.


WEAKNESS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM: I find it very challenging as i normally need help when i cook and I nearly forgot to add salt and pepper to the chicken when boiling.


OTHER COMMENTS: I still need a lot of improvement.

a.Flavour(Taste+Smell): it taste salty, creamy and buttery but it smell sweet.The more salt you put in, the saltier it get but if you put in too little salt, the soup would taste very bitter

it looks good and i managed to cook it within the time given and final outcome did not look awful.

WEAKNESS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM:

I put too much salt and butter in it, that make it so salty and buttery.

    STRENGTHS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM:I was able to mix all the ingredients and form it into balls.I was also able to get the ingredients and mix the mixture well.Also I always clean up the equipment after I finish my work and also clean the table.

WEAKNESS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM: I put a little too much salt in the mixture thus the end result was salty and tasted a bit weird.Also i boiled the mixture for too long thus the end result was not good.

Fish&Chips

The fish is brown and the potatoes are yellow
c.texture:

The fish is crispy in the outside and the texture is rough. It looks oily and it really is, the potatoes are soft and oily.

STRENGTHS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM:

The appearance looks quite okay with it's yellowish chips and brownish chips

WEAKNESS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM:

Both fish and chips taste too oily and the fish is not well cooked.The chips are too soft instead of being crispy and delicious. The fish was not well coated with the batter.

OTHER COMMENTS:i wish i should've done better.......

b.colour : Yellowish, watery and rounded.


c.texture: Moist, lumpy and soft.


STRENGTHS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM: Follow the recipe closely and able to finish up everything on time.


WEAKNESS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM: Waste too much time on mashing potato because did not use proper equipment.


OTHER COMMENTS: Did not taste food while cooking. Therefore, ended up too salty.

c.texture: The lumpia have a crispy texture and it's not too dry :D
